Our story
Rooted in this land
Richard and Kate Morgan
Whytebank Chase is owned and operated by Richard and Kate Morgan, who welcome guests into their family home and the working life of the farm.
Five generations
A family farming heritage
Whytebank Chase is part of a fifth-generation farming family in the Mankazana Valley. The connection to this land is practical and personal, carried through the everyday responsibilities of rural life.

Horses, hounds and farming
Horses and hounds have played an essential role in the sustainable management of livestock. They remain part of the relationship between farming, the mountain country and care for the animals supported by the land.
Stewardship
Faith, family, hard work, integrity, respect and stewardship are not slogans here. They are the values that shape daily life and the way guests are welcomed.

The Mankazana Valley
The valley’s mountain terrain gives Whytebank Chase its character: open distances, changing weather and a quiet sense of place.
Farmhouse hospitality
Guests stay in the Morgan family home, sharing traditional South African food, comfortable accommodation and the warmth of a household that has welcomed people for generations.
